When the Babylonian (Enuma Elish) and Hebrew creation stories are told together it shows the deep theological meaning of Genesis 1: God is in control, God can create by His words and God absolutely loves everything that He has made - including human beings. We were not created to be slaves of the gods, but to be God's image-bearers in the world. We are His precious creations. Kathryn Wehr, PhD created this story for her theology class at North Central University. She would pass out shakers, bells and other sound effect-makers and get the whole class involved making water sounds, etc. Katy is pleased to collaborate here with two college students: Clarinetist Claire Zwiefelhofer and Photographer Patrick Wehr (her nephew). The hymn tune at the end of the video is a traditional Welsh tune known as Ash Grove to which the text "Let All Things Now Living" is sung.
